Our factory and quality control

We specialize in high-quality nutrition for dogs and cats and own one of the most modern pet food factories in Latin America. Our factory, founded 19 years ago, is the pioneer in the Super Premium food sector in Brazil. Ongoing investments in technology, infrastructure, innovation and personnel translate into a state-of-the-art industrial complex located in the city of Dourados (SP), with a total area of 680,000 m².

Our new cookie manufacturing facility started to operate in September 2016, marking our first steps in the pet treats segment.

We have invested heavily over the last two years to develop this new manufacturing operation. We have tested and purchased equipment from all around the world in order to meet the manufacturing requirements of our premium cookie products. PremieR® cookies’ unique formulation was developed by our team of veterinary nutrition specialists at PremieRpet® Nutritional Development Centrer – NDC.

QUALITY POLICY

Our Quality Control department includes a physicochemical laboratory and our tests are run with cutting-edge methodology and equipment. This department revolves entirely around raw material and product analyses, and machinery cleaning procedures. With an area of more than 300 m2, it is managed by a professional team trained in bromatological and microbiological analyses.

LEED GOLD CERTIFICATION

PremieRpet® cookie plant has recieved LEED GOLD certification for its relentless commitment to sustainability. One more outstanding PremieRpet® achievement!

PremieRpet® cookie plant had already obtained the LEED – Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – stamp right at the start, becoming a reference in the industry and the first company ever to achieve this stamp. PremieRpet® now moved one step further to achieved GOLD certification, the most widely used green building certification in Brazil and recognized in other 140 countries.

To obtain LEED Gold certification, the unit was submitted to rigorous scrutiny in seven criteria: sustainable site, water efficiency, energy & atmosphere, materials & resources, indoor environmental quality, desing innovation & regional priority.

Sustainable practices are part of out culture and results could not have been other than one more success story for PremieRpet® and the Brazilian pet food industry!
